Saving Lives: Princess Charlene Foundation celebrates its 5th Anniversary
Exactly 5 years ago, in December 2012, Princess Charlene launched a foundation to help prevent drowning around the world. According to a statistic by the World Health Organization: every 85 seconds, a person dies from drowning.
The foundation helps prevent drowning with programs like ‘Learn to Swim’ and ‘Water Safety for drowning prevention’ which teach children to swim and train adults in water safety protocol and resuscitation maneuvers.
The Princess Charlene Foundation has developed 149 projects in 33 countries and has reached more than 410,000 people, mostly children. Those numbers will continue to increase in 2018.

On December 15, 2017, Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the parcel distribution at the Monaco Red Cross. Princess Charlene presented the annual Christmas gifts to the elderly people at the Red Cross headquarters in Monaco.
Prince Albert attends 13th Charitable Christmas Tree Auction
In the presence of Prince Albert II, the 13th annual Christmas Tree Auction took place at the Hotel de Paris. This year’s proceeds went to Action Innocence Monaco, which helps young people, their families and professionals confront the risks and dangers of the internet and new technologies. The beautiful trees were on display in the lobby of the Hotel de Paris since the 12th of December.
