Two Upcoming Events for Kids from Skating Club of Monaco

This season, the Skating Club of Monaco (SCOM) is in full swing. With nearly 80 children enrolled in skating classes; 15 children in the junior ice hockey section, 8 children in free-style skating and 30 ice hockey players in the Barracudas section, the SCOM is busy preparing for upcoming hockey games, galas and championship events.

Thanks to Club volunteers, skating lessons are organized every night of the week (except Friday) from 6pm to 8pm and are provided by Ms. Christine Sabbatini and her team. A team which has just strengthened thanks to Chelsea Bouilly’s first-place success in the Federal Skating Certificate (major finish of the session) with Elisa Phily and Soraya Sammari tied for second place. Pierre Simond has joined the teaching team this season, as well as Camille Descent, Lilly Dietel and Lie-Lou Khemila. For ice hockey, training is provided by Fabien Bonilla and his team composed of Fabien Guardiola and Jean Philippe Tron.

Upcoming events on Monaco’s skating rink will help the public better discover the disciplines offered by the SCOM.

On Saturday 17 February, there will be two ice hockey games. From 9:00am to 10:00am: a match between the SCOM team ‘Les Barracudas Juniors’ and ‘Aigles de Nice’.

From 10:30am to 12:00pm there will be a game between ‘Les Barracudas’ and a team from Marseille.

On Saturday 24 February, the Monaco Skating Championship (from 9:00am to 11:00am) will be followed by the Club Gala (starting at 5:00 pm) with exhibitions from different disciplines of the Club, which will be followed by the presentation of the Championship Awards.

Access to both events is free, and we look forward to welcoming and encouraging all participants.
