«All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them», used to say the well-known American film producer Walt Disney. Imagine wearing the most beautiful dress you can possibly think of, surrounded by the enchanting atmosphere of a Royal Ball Room in the core of the Principality. Imagine to share this exclusive experience with your Prince or Princess Charming on Valentine’s Day reliving the refined atmosphere of a unique performance to elicit your best romanticism.
Your dream will come true on the 14th February 2019 attending the fourth edition of the Gala Dinner of The Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses at the renovated Salle Empire in one of the finest luxury destinations in Monte-Carlo, the Hôtel de Paris. This event, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and with the support of SBM, will be most memorable — as recently highlighted by Delia Grace Noble, Artistic Director, UNICEF Ambassador and talented Soprano, well known internationally. She is particularly fond of a real sense of beauty, being inspired both by the mystic loveliness of Venice and the glamorous splendour of the Principality. An amazing spectacular display will accompany all the royal and noble characters. One is bound to experience a true romantic journey, with one’s senses exalted and ennobled by the royal reception followed by the sweetest of melodies. This is something that every gentleman or lady should try once in a lifetime. Extravagant decorations, eclectic light shows, top class banquets and thrilling delights will brighten up even the outstanding decorative ceiling of the existing Ball Room, turning it into a royal mansion. This is the perfect setting for all special guests, regardless of whether noble, royal or naturally elegant, but who are all requested to follow the Grand Gala dress code in order to better benefit from this singular event.
A win-win combination of elements so eagerly desired by Delia Grace Noble who has recently achieved a further dream. In fact, she successfully managed an exceptional princely ball, the «Monte-Carlo in Venice» ball, held for the first time at the luxury Hotel Cipriani during the 75th Venice Film Festival. Certainly it strengthened even more the ties between these two quintessential Cities. This was underscored by Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco, who was part of the special delegation who welcomed the prestigious event «Venice in Monte-Carlo», last February. This iconic annual event aroused the admiration of H.E. Cristiano Gallo, The Italian Ambassador in Monaco, Anna Licia Balzan, Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco in Venice, the renowned singer Riccardo Cocciante and other celebrities.
HelloMonaco: What truly inspired you, Ms Grace Noble, to create The Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses?
Delia Grace Noble: The passion for Art, my personal love for any kind of beauty and being part of the Principality is just the icing on the cake that is the foundation of my project shared by all the artists and staff involved in it. Thus, I am particularly honoured that my commitment has been recognised formally by the Sovereign Prince. The Grand Ball 2019 will coincide with two special celebrations: the day devoted to all sweethearts and the opening of the Salle Empire after the renovation works at the Hôtel de Paris. It will be, then, a real dream that comes true for all participants, including actual members of all the royal families present.
HM: What does it mean for you being an Artistic Director in Monaco?
DGN: Monte-Carlo has become my beloved home city. I arrived here when I was 18 years old and soon after I was able to attend the Monegasque Music Academy Prince Rainier III with the consent of the Prince’s family. My professional career started here and spread internationally giving me the chance to sing with the divine Montserrat Caballe, Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli. This gives me the great pleasure to tell the world that my roots are based here. These opportunities forged my personality allowing me to discover the magic and mysterious side of theatres worldwide. When you think about romanticism, love acts as the main driving force in the universe. And also when you think about music, as a universal and sacred communication tool, then you realize they are able to make us escape from our everyday lives. I do believe that it is important to emphasize all this through a high quality artistic project which will gather at Salle Empire the best talented opera singers who will perform at the Grand Ball. The spirit, encouraging unforgettable moments of mutual happiness as a specific ritual of this exclusive Gala Dinner, is undoubtedly noteworthy.
HM: If you were requested to invite honourable guests to the Grand Ball, what would you say?
DGN: Monte-Carlo and Venice are simply the very essence of love and romanticism. The Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses brings them together into a single event full of symbols of both places. The Monegasque glamour, style and elegance in memory of the Princess Grace, unforgettable artist and female icon, cleverly mixed to the most refined garments. It is definitely a dream even for myself!
So, what about joining the Grand Ball? You still have a limited amount of time to say yes, but do not forget that the participants of this exclusive event, like in the best fairy tales, are eager to book their places.
