Yann Lienard, the young goalkeeper trained at AS Monaco (20 years old), is now linked to the Principality club until June 2027.
Originally from Aubagne, the 1m94 goalkeeper joined the Academy in 2019 after playing for Marseille-based clubs FC Burel and Sporting Club Air Bel. Within the Academy, Yann showed steady progress until joining the first team last season. At the same time, he played a big role in the adventure of the Elite group last season.
An experienced U-20 international
Yann is a regular with the youth teams of France. He first made his debut with the U-17s in February 2020 in a friendly against Denmark. Subsequently, in 2021, he was called up again, twice, but this time with the U-18s.
With the U-19s, he has been in the squad 12 times, participating in the 2022 European U-19 Championship, where he helped the team reach the semifinals. Last season, Yann accumulated 11 caps with the French U-20 team, including three during the recent U-20 World Cup in May and June 2023.
AS Monaco wished him every success in Rouge et Blanc!
