Two Monegasques Show They Are Soccer’s Best of Their Generation in a Glorious Victory

A sparkling Monaco overwhelms Ajaccio. They have such confidence they actually believe they can go even higher!

Krépin Diatta and Wissam Ben Yedder were two of the main players during the Red and White attacking festival against AC Ajaccio this last Sunday at the Stade Louis-II (7-1). Respectively authors of a goal and an assist and a hat-trick, Krepin Diatta and Wissam Ben Yedder logically make the J19 Type Team. Congratulations gentlemen!

From the first minute, Krepin Diatta number 27 obtained the first corner of the match, bringing the opener for Axel Disasi. Barely four minutes later, he was on the lookout at the back post to score the second goal of the season, putting AS Monaco on the road to success. Untenable throughout the game, Krépin ended his recital with a decisive pass for Breel Embolo on the sixth Monegasque goal.

This is the Senegalese International’s first performance in the colours of AS Monaco in Ligue 1. Moreover, the Senegalese international was a passer and scorer in a league match for the first time since October 2019, it was then in the colours of Club Brugge

As for Wissam Ben Yedder he was in record mode. This Sunday, Captain Wiss’ entered a little more into the history of AS Monaco. Another hat-trick – his second of the season after the one against Nantes – in just 14 minutes, the captain of the Red and Whites became the third top scorer in Club history tied with Christian Dalger: 89 goals each.

A hat-trick, a victory, a record, Wissam Ben Yedder definitely left his mark on the last meeting of the first leg of this 2022-2023 season. With eleven goals this season, the number 10 is also the Club’s top scorer in the league. He is at the forefront of the attack of this J19 Type Team in addition to also being present in the Type Team of the French for the weekend.

Who wouldn’t include him in their listing of the best potential team.

Congratulations Wissam!
