Kassoum Ouattara joins AS Monaco

AS Monaco have announced the arrival of Kassoum Ouattara from Amiens SC. The 19-year-old French U-20 international defender has signed a 5-season deal and is now tied to the Principality until June 2028.

Trained at Amiens Sporting Club, the young left-back, who is also capable of playing as a left midfielder, made ten appearances for the Picardy club this season before moving to the Principality. Born in 2004, Kassoum Ouattara, who turned 19 on 14 October, made his professional debut at the age of 17 in a 2-1 win over SC Bastia on 20 August 2022, and made 12 appearances in during the 2022-23 campaign.

French U20 international

His steady progress and performances have earned him regular call-ups to France’s youth squads. First with the U18s in 2022, then with the U19s and finally this season with the U20s, where, alongside Malamine Efekele, he played his first match against Denmark on 8 September (2-2).
