From Pitch to Auction: How AS Monaco is Putting Fans in Their Players’ Jerseys!

AS Monaco has kicked off a unique initiative that will give passionate fans a chance to get their hands on one-of-a-kind souvenirs—players’ match-worn shirts. In collaboration with the online auction platform BiddingSport, the club is offering supporters the opportunity to bid on jerseys worn during Ligue 1 and Champions League matches throughout the 2024/2025 season. This initiative, launching in the club’s centenary year, adds a special touch to what promises to be a memorable season.

The partnership was unveiled with an auction featuring shirts from Monaco’s 2-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais. Fans can bid on jerseys worn by the starting XI, including standout performers Eliesse Ben Seghir and Lamine Camara, as well as substitutes like the newly-signed Jordan Teze. Prices start at €150, and some jerseys, like Takumi Minamino’s, are already attracting multiple bids.

AS Monaco’s Marketing & Revenue Director, Thibaut Chatelard, emphasized the emotional value of these items, saying, “We want to give our supporters a chance to own a piece of club history.” With the club celebrating 100 years, the initiative is a fitting way for fans to take home a part of this special season.

Beyond the regular match-worn jerseys, the club will also release a collector’s edition shirt for the highly-anticipated centenary match against Montpellier in late September. Fans can expect this rare piece of memorabilia to be a highlight of the season, as it pays tribute to Monaco’s rich footballing history.

BiddingSport, which specializes in auctioning sporting memorabilia, brings its expertise to Monaco’s initiative, giving fans a way to own “material souvenirs” from the club’s iconic moments. The auctions will take place after each Ligue 1 and Champions League game, offering collectors a steady stream of prized jerseys as the season unfolds.

For those eager to commemorate the centenary season, this collaboration offers more than just a keepsake—it’s a chance to own a piece of Monaco’s football legacy.
