ASM Mascot Bouba, the Tightroping Elephant!

ASM Mascot Bouba tightropes to celebrate the team’s 4 million Facebook fans.

It was on the heights of La Turbie, at the Tête de Chien that Bouba greeted fans.

How far will he go? With his team at heart, Bouba, the mascot for AS Monaco, never ceases to amaze.

Bouba

Last summer, upset not to be selected for the Rio Olympics, Bouba impressed his fans by unveiling a video of his athletic feats on the track of Louis II. On the program: “Bouba Bolt” and his sprint, faster than the wind, “Bouba Lewis” and his long jump, admittedly a little heavy, and ”Sergei Bouba” serenely surpassing a bar more than 3 meters high with a pole vault. The pachyderm had more feats to conquer! Recently, Monegasques were able to witness “Flying Bouba”, the elephant tightrope walker at the Tête de Chien.

Euphoric after AS Monaco passed the 4 million mark on Facebook, the pachyderm has indeed thanked the digital supporters of the club, at an altitude of over 500 meters!

It should be said that by exceeding 4 million fans on Mark Zuckerberg’s social network, AS Monaco are on the heels of their recent opponent in League 1, Olympique de Marseille and its 4.9 million fans. What if a victory re-balances things? As for the energetic Bouba, there’s no telling what he’ll do next. If AS Monaco were to win a title at the end of the season, it wouldn’t be surprising if he boarded the next flight into space and took a selfie with astronaut Thomas Pesquet!
