As AS Monaco celebrates its hundredth anniversary this season, the Club has many surprises in store for its supporters to celebrate this historic event at the heart of a season that promises to be exciting, also marked on a sporting level by the return to the Champions League.
On August 23, the Principality club will celebrate its hundredth birthday. The hundredth anniversary comes as the Club got its start on August 23 1924, following the merger of several teams from Monaco and Beausoleil, including Herculis, the first Monegasque football club created at the very beginning of the 20th century.
During these one hundred years of history AS Monaco has established itself as one of the most prestigious clubs in France and forged for itself a full range of trophies with eight French titles, five Coupe de France, four Trophées des Champions et one Coupe de la Ligue.
AS Monaco, an intergenerational passion
This hundred years of exploits has seen the Rocher club make the Principality shine in the four corners of Europe through its crazy European runs, reaching the last four of the Champions League four times, and even reaching the final of the competition in 2004 or that of the Cupwinners’ Cup in 1992.
One hundred years of intergenerational passion, embodied by an iconic jersey, and an extraordinary destiny, shaped by legendary players and the many young talents trained at the Rouge et Blanc Academy.
A special collection of kits and a dedicated logo
Like the launch of its season ticket campaign offering all supporters the opportunity to experience this historic season in the best conditions, AS Monaco has many surprises in store for fans of the Rouge et Blanc. Starting with a special collection of jerseys, paying tribute to the history of the Club, its identity and its roots in the Principality, while outlining the broad outlines of its future.
After last week’s unveiling of the new home jersey, full of stories – a real invitation to go back in time and the seasons that have forged its track record – AS Monaco will soon reveal its away jersey, then its third kit at the beginning of August.
A 100th anniversary capsule collection will also be offered this season, while a visual identity dedicated to this exceptional anniversary will be visible on the Club’s media.
An AS Monaco village on Port Hercule throughout the month of August!
From August 1 to 25, Port Hercule will be transformed into an AS Monaco village and will welcome all Club enthusiasts and supporters. A real Red & White rallying point, in the heart of the Principality, where it will be possible to enjoy, freely and free, numerous activities, including a football field for wild summer games!
Surprise events, to be discovered throughout the summer, will also be organized there to the delight of young and old…
A film and a special book to (re)discover the history of the Club and immerse yourself in its memories
This 100th anniversary will also be an opportunity for AS Monaco to broadcast on its media platforms an exceptional film retracing the history of the Club du Rocher, allowing you to discover or rediscover its most beautiful moments.
A new work, in “artbook” format, will also be available in August and will allow all generations of supporters to find the emblematic personalities, the great coaches and the players who wrote its most beautiful pages.
A centenary match against Montpellier the weekend of September 27
Finally, a visit from Montpellier HSC, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this season, on the occasion of the 6th round of Ligue 1, the weekend of September 27, will be dedicated to the celebration of the Centenary alongside all the supporters present at the Stade Louis-II.
A big party will be organized to immortalize this symbolic anniversary together, and in the presence of many former Rouge et Blanc players, an event during which the Monegasques will play with a collector’s jersey, sold in a limited edition (*).
And that’s not all… many other surprises await Club supporters this season!
