AS Monaco Stairway to Success
For many years now, the AS Monaco Academy has been in the top 5 of the rating system for training centers for French professional clubs, currently with 4 out of 5 stars, tied for example with stellar clubs like Paris Saint-Germain.
This excellent position in the ranking is a salute to the very good season achieved by young players like Benoît Badiashile, one of the players trained in Ligue 1, now with the third longest playing time (2,871 minutes played). Four other Academy members (Chrislain Matsima, Giulian Biancone, Eliot Matazo and Enzo Millot) also took part in matches. And with 22 professional contracts, AS Monaco is one of the teams that offers the most to its young players.
Félix Lemarechal who has just had his baccalaureate like 13 other of his comrades, also had his first professional minutes. Other trainees, now well established, are making big names for themselves in other clubs such as Kylian Mbappé, top scorer in Ligue 1 last season
In total, there are 19 AS Monaco trainees in the European Top 5, including 5 in clubs participating in the Champions League.
Red and White Seats for the Centenary?
AS Monaco supporters are making a very special request for the club’s centenary. The associations of supporters of AS Monaco are asking the Monegasque authorities to change the colour of the seats at the Louis-II stadium. Fans would like them in the club’s colours: red and white, instead of yellow.
Red they emphasize in their press release is “human, flesh and blood, and White is purity. They represent the Grimaldi family, the Principality, ASM FC, and all the other sporting branches of the Monegasque state”.
To highlight their message, fans invite Internet users to mobilize and disseminate the hashtag #SiegesR & Bpourles100ans (SeatsR&Bthe100years).
Cupra Cars Teams Up with AS Monaco
AS Monaco has joined CupraTribe, a prestigious network of partners and ambassadors of the brand, who have a notable relationship with FC Barcelona. ASM also has joined forces with the Cupra dealers in the Alpes-Maritimes, which has become the Club’s official car supplier for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons. Cupra will also make available to the Club its Formentor, a fiercely powered vehicle in the coupe SUV category.
Cupra, who will open a new showroom in Nice this autumn, will benefit from having visibility on the team’s pitchside signage during AS Monaco’s home matches in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats as well as Cupra VIP access to the Stade Louis-II and at the La Turbie Performance Center. More joint projects between the two entities will be revealed shortly.
