The Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship came to a spectacular conclusion last week at the iconic Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Monegasque driver Arthur Leclerc was joined by team-mates Tommaso Mosca and Giancarlo Fisichellato to claim the GT3 Endurance Drivers’ championship for Scuderia Baldini in a hard-fought final.
Leclerc, Mosca and Fisichella entered the final race just two points behind the championship leaders. With twelve Ferraris lining up on the grid, the tension was at its highest. After some impressive qualifying laps, they put in a remarkable performance, facing relentless pressure and competition to claim the title.
In the footsteps of his elder brother
This victory has happened after the recent triumph of Charles Leclerc at the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix, where he climbed to the podium as well as his teammate Carlos Sainz, showcasing their SF-24’s capabilities at the challenging AutódromoHermanos Rodríguez. Although starting from fourth on the grid, Leclerc demonstrated his signature blend of skill and adaptability, crucially avoiding major incidents as he maintained position near the leaders through much of the race to finally take the checkered flag and climb to the top of the podium, just like brother Arthur in Monza.
