Competitions and good results galore
In the recent competition in acrobatic gymnastics the Monaco groups performed exceptionally well.
Recently, the gymnasts of Fémina Sport participated in the national final of the Masters of acrobatic gymnastics which were held in Lons-le-Saunier. For the occasion, three groups represented the Principality. In National A for 11-16 year olds, Ariana Katchik and Diego Lopez got a score of 48,900 points. The duo has been working together for two years. The pair is making huge progress thanks to their very serious work, especially in the artistic field.
Meanwhile, the trio made up of Giulia Cauteruchio, Melissa Martin and Noémie Vallauri placed second with a score of 50,900 points. Thanks to the 2 performances, these gymnasts are only 0.20 points away from the selection for the European Championships. It’s a very encouraging result that will motivate the girls for their next competition.
In the 12-18 category Alicia Barbero, Ana-Fiona Toullec, and Maud Voituret finished second in the National Selection behind the Antiboises, and before the Bois-Colombes group. During the next French championships, which will be held in June, they will have to repeat this performance since only two teams will be selected as a team from France. The trio showed a good competitive spirit despite a mistake in their static movement that deprived them of being selected for the European championships. “So we have three weeks for the girls to work on these small imperfections and to win this selection for French teams,” explained their coach, Rémi Chal Debauvais. This trio was also outclassed since they also participated in the Masters in category 13-19. The gymnasts had to compete with stronger and older groups. The Monegasques then ranked 3rd with a total of 76,370 points, which showed the extent of their potential. All groups should be congratulated. They now have only one goal in mind: the French Championships which will take place in Niort at the beginning of June.
The Monaco teams for acrobatic gymnastics will be waiting with great anticipation for the upcoming competition, and hoping for further good results!
