A reported change from 80,000 to 700,000 euros per month has been offered to Kylian Mbappé in an attempt to stave off the temptation of Real Madrid, PSG and the rest.
Monaco have offered their star youngster, Kylian Mbappé, a whopping salary increase as they attempt to keep him at the Ligue 1 club for at least another year while the likes of Real Madrid and PSG aim to tempt him away.
“Will it be enough to stave off PSG and Real Madrid?” they ask in France, with reports from the Journal du Dimanche stating that the offer put to the player is an increase in salary of 900%. According to the media outlet, Mbappé’s contract is currently worth 80,000 euros each month with the offer on the table to take that to 700,000 euros per month. This would put his on a par with Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and the side from the Principality are keen to get things cleared up as soon as possible.
Madrid, PSG, Arsenal…
The paper has also said that European champions Real Madrid have put forward a bid of 130 million euros to take the talented attacker to the Bernabéu. This figure also includes add-on clauses depending on fulfuling certain objectives. PSG are considering their next move while another interested party, Arsenal, is looking at another French striker, Alexandre Lacazette, in the likely scenario that they are unable to attract their preferred option.
Mission Maintain Mbappé
But it is Monaco that are aiming to hold onto their rising star who has done much to fulfil his potential already, being an integral part of the side that reached the Champions League semi-finals. The big-money offer may remove the financial incentive to make a move but, as the player has said himself, his priority is making the right decision for his playing career.
