Eva Hamzaoui-Biton and Julie Bertany displayed an impressive mastery of the sport; they did not tremble against the Touquettoises (2-0) and came out on top against Bordeaux in the final (2-0). Also competing in the three days of the French Cup, Pascal and Vincent Ferry, Guillaume lmary and Thomas Darvaux-Hubert didn’t disappoint. After a strong start to the competition, finishing first in their group, the Monaco players lacked luck in the draw, said Frank Gopcevic, head of beach-volleyball section. Faced with the future finalists, Nice, the two pairs lost (2-1) but ensured a very beautiful fifth place by beating Bordeaux (2-0) then Sand-System (2-1). Which are still better results for the team who finished 6th last year, to the delight of the beach volleyball section of the ASM.
