Turner Exhibition inaugurated by Prince Albert II and Andrea Casiraghi

Princess Stephanie celebrated 20 years of action against AIDS through her association, Fight Aids Monaco. A special program featuring Princess Stephanie and other guests was broadcast on Monaco Info on 5 July.

“My congratulations to HSH Princess Stephanie and the amazing Fight AIDS Monaco team on your 20th anniversary year. Your work in Monaco and in developing countries has saved lives and brought dignity to people at risk and living with HIV. I was inspired by your innovations in fighting stigma and providing HIV services and wholistic care and support to people living with HIV. Deep respect!” said Winnie Byanyima, executive Director of UNAIDS.

Princess Caroline inaugurates Roger Capron’s Sea Life Art at Galerie des Salinesa

The Princess of Hanover officially unveiled the newly restored work by Roger Capron in the Galerie des Salines on 2 July. The decorative ceramic wall art (initially consisting of 29 glazed terracotta panels depicting Mediterranean sea life) was created by the French artist in 1968 under the Larvotto promenade.

As part of construction work launched in September 2019 to revamp Larvotto beach, a vast conservation and restoration project saw the removal, restoration and relocation of the twelve panels that remained on site. Born in 1922, Roger Capron studied applied arts in Paris and contributed to the renaissance of ceramic art in the 1950s and 1960s.

Princess Caroline attends the Opening of Monaco Art Week 2024

Princess Caroline attended the official opening of Monaco Art Week (MAW) at Almine Rech on 2 July. Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, Monaco Art Week celebrated its sixth edition until 7 July.

The major event was punctuated by unique exhibitions across a few dozen galleries and auction houses all over Monaco. The event’s art trail took visitors through cultural hubs in Condamine, Monte-Carlo and Larvotto. The exciting format, born in 2018, encourages everyone to explore the Principality’s cultural landscape.

Prince Albert II celebrates the 14th Anniversary of Monaco’s Club of Foreign Residents (CREM)

In the Saint-Martin Gardens with 200 of its members, the Club of Foreign Residents of Monaco celebrated 14 years on 24 June. President Louisette Azzoaglio Levy-Soussan welcomed the Sovereign to the celebration.

Charming decor featured hay bales, picnic baskets and lots of red and white. Monaco’s national anthem was performed by Dr. Marylène Richaud before a painting of Grace Kelly, created by artist Alan Walsh, was offered to Prince Albert II.

Princely Family attends 80s-themed Fight Aids Monaco Gala!

Princess Stephanie brought her family out to her association’s 80s-themed Gala at the Sporting Monte-Carlo on 6 July. Her daughters, Pauline Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb, and her brother, Prince Albert II, donned colourful outfits for the occasion.

A gorgeous drag queen, pop star Sabrina (known for her hit “Boys, boys, boys”) and Marc Toesca were also in attendance. The Fight gala Aids Monaco Gala takes place every year to support people living with HIV and promote HIV prevention. The association, founded in 2004 by Princess Stephanie, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Prince Albert II attends the 11th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge at the Yacht Club

More than 450 engineering students, representing 40 universities and 25 nations, attended the Energy Boat Challenge in the presence of Prince Albert II. The event showcased innovative prototypes and allowed participants to meet the biggest players in the yachting industry. Since 2014, this event has used an approach combining alternative propulsion, overall design and hull design.

Turner Exhibition inaugurated by Prince Albert II and Andrea Casiraghi

Prince Albert II, in the presence of Andrea Casiraghi, inaugurated the “Turner, the sublime heritage” exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum on 4 July. Presenting a collection of leading works in a gorgeous set of over 2000 m2, this exhibition, in collaboration with the TATE, is a journey through the sublime representations of the world of Joseph Mallord William Turner. It features everything from his landscapes to his elementary explorations of light and atmosphere.

Prince Albert II participates in the First summer session of Monaco’s Academy of the Sea

On Monday 1 July, Prince Albert II participated in the first summer session of the Academy of the Sea (A2M) at the Méridien Beach Plaza. In the presence of Laurent Anselmi, President of the Academy, and numerous Monegasque personalities, the Sovereign Prince spoke about the role and missions of this French-speaking teaching and training institute dedicated to the seas and oceans.

Forty students in the “Rainier III” class will follow courses taught by about twenty experts until 13 July. This first training session will conclude with a conference devoted to fishing and overfishing. Prince Albert II is the Academy’s Honorary President.
