Princely Family sets Fire to the St. Devote Boat

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella set their torches to the St. Devote boat on 26 January. Celebrations on Monaco’s patron saint day began with a mass at the St. Devote Church.

For the first time in Monaco, International Women’s Sports Day was celebrated with two events celebrating women in motorsport at the Prince’s Car Collection museum on 24 January, in the presence of Prince Albert II and his niece, Camille Gottlieb. Several guest speakers (four of whom are residents of Monaco) gave inspiring talks. Speakers included Michèle Mouton, World Rally Vice-Champion.

Prince Albert II and Camille Gottlieb presented a lifetime membership card to the Automobile Club of Monaco to Michèle Mouton, a true legend of motorsport. She was the first and only woman thus far to win a World Rally Championship event, a feat she accomplished four times.

Following the event, a cocktail with Prince Albert II and Camille Gottlieb marked the official launch of the ‘100 Years of Women: Motorsport & Monaco’ book, written by Nancy Heslin and Lacey Da Costa. Students from FANB, ISM, IUM and ITM who attended the conference were gifted a copy of the new book.

Prince Albert II participates in an Environmental Breakfast during the World Economic Forum

During the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation organized an environmental breakfast on 24 January, in partnership with UnaTerra. The event brought together 30 international leaders from major companies and aimed to address issues and solutions related to plastic pollution.

“The investment of economic forces is essential to resolving the major crisis posed by plastic. And I believe that this investment constitutes an important opportunity for innovation, development and progress,” said Prince Albert II during his opening speech.

Prince Albert II celebrates Tele Monte-Carlo’s 70th birthday

Prince Albert II visited the Tele Monte-Carlo offices on Quai Antoine-Ier to celebrate the channel’s 70th anniversary on 28 January. The visit concluded with the channel presenting a gift to Prince Albert II: a photograph of Prince Rainier III testing the channel’s installations at the time, which contrast with the modern control room, inaugurated in March 2024.

Beatrice Borromeo attends Dior Fashion Show

Beatrice Borromeo, who has been an ambassador for Dior for over four years, attended Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris on 27 January. Dior presented its Spring/Summer 2025 creations at the Rodin Museum. Princess Alessandra of Hanover and Princess Cleopatra of Oettingen-Spielberg were also in attendance. Both Beatrice Borromeo and her husband, Pierre Casiraghi are ambassadors for Dior.

Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra attend Chanel Fashion Show

As part of Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra of Hanover attended the Chanel Spring-Summer 2025 show on 28 January at the Grand Palais. Charlotte Casiraghi, who is an ambassador for Chanel, wore an outfit from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2025 Collection.

Happy 60th Birthday, Princess Stephanie!

Born on 1 February 1965, the youngest daughter of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace just turned 60! Known for her adventurous spirit, the Princess has been a model, a chart-topping singer who collaborated with the likes of Michael Jackson and the hard-working President of Fight Aids Monaco. The mum of three has inherited her father’s love of the circus and has been at the helm of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival for 18 years.

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella set their torches to the St. Devote boat on 26 January. Celebrations on Monaco’s patron saint day began with a mass at the St. Devote Church. In the afternoon, the Relics of St. Devote arrived by sea, accompanied by a dove from the Rainier III Animal Garden. In the forecourt of the St. Devote Church, the Princely Family was followed by a long procession to Quai Albert 1. Alongside the Mayor Georges Marsan, the Princely Family set the boat ablaze while traditional Corsican polyphonic songs were sang to a large crowd of attendees.
