Princely Family hosts Children’s Christmas Party

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, Princess Stephanie and Camille Gottlieb handed out gifts to Monegasque children at the Palace on 18 December. Over 700 children were invited to the event. The annual children’s party is a tradition that was started by Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III in the early 1960s as a way to introduce the American princess to Monaco’s children.

Prince Albert II celebrates Christmas with residents of A Qietüdine

Prince Albert II visited seniors at A Qietüdine to share food and present them with gifts on 17 December. Organized by the Monaco Red Cross, the traditional visit brought together about fifty residents. Eight students from the Rainier III Academy performed a piano and cello recital. Prince Albert II and the residents enjoyed banana bread before the Sovereign presented each resident with the gift of an essential oil diffuser.

Prince Albert II presents the Duke of Castro with his 9th Smeralda 888 Award

Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies was presented with the trophy from Prince Albert II at the Yacht Club de Monaco for his 9th victory in the Smeralda 888 International Championship on 19 December. The awards ceremony took place at the same time as the induction ceremony for new members of the club.

The royal family of the Two Sicilies attended the event: Princess Camilla, Princess Maria Carolina and Princess Maria Chiara. The Smeralda 888 class has existed at the club since 1992 and the circuit has existed for 18 years.

Princess Stephanie’s Christmas Tea Party

Princess Stephanie picked up where Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene left off and continued this year’s gift-giving tour across Monaco, organized by the Monegasque Red Cross. She began by visiting residents of the Rainier-III Centre for a Christmas tea party and distributing gifts on 16 December. Musical entertainment was provided by the students of the Rainier-III Music Academy. Next, Princess Stephanie and the CRM delegation visited patients at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre to give out boxes of chocolates.

GMK introduces Teddy Riner to Prince Albert II

Youtube star GMK invited Teddy Riner, French heavyweight judoka and eleven-time world champion (and car enthusiast) to the Principality, where he met Prince Albert II. Monaco’s viral content creator, GMK, will be posting the video on 28 December.

The five-time Olympic champion was taken to the Beef Bar and the Pavillon Monte-Carlo before being received at the Prince’s Palace, where the Sovereign opened the doors to the antechamber of his office. GMK and Teddy Riner asked the Prince many questions about sports, his own participation in the Olympics in the bobsleigh and more.
