Princely Family attend the 81st Monaco Grand Prix!
The Princely family came out to support Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc during the 81st Monaco F1 Grand Prix.
On 25 May, Prince Albert II was present on the circuit to attend the third F1 test session and the first F2 race. The Prince then headed to the pit-lane and visited the Sauber stand. Finnish pilot, Valtteri Bottas, gave the Prince his helmet (which will be sold at auction during an evening organised by the Blue Marine Foundation on 25 September).
At the Ferrari stand, the Sovereign greeted Charles Leclerc before he competed in the qualifying session. The Monegasque driver set the best time and started in pole position on Sunday. Charlotte Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Andrea Casiraghi, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Camille Gottlieb, Princess Alexandra and Ben Sylvester Strautmann also attended the qualifiers ahead of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.
On 26 May, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Charlotte Casiraghi, Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Andrea Casiraghi, Princess Alexandra, Louis Ducruet and Marie Ducruet attended the Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc won, making him the first Monegasque to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco. Prince Albert II congratulated the driver as he stood atop the podium.
Princess Charlene celebrates Mother’s Day with Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella
On Mother’s Day, celebrated in Monaco on 26 May, the Princely Palace shared a beautiful photo of Princess Charlene with her twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, with the caption ‘Happy Mother’s Day’. The Princess then joined her husband, Prince Albert II, at the Grand Prix.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene visit the F1 Grandstand for the Physically Disabled
During Monaco’s Grand Prix, the Princely couple visited spectators at the Monegasque Association for the Physically Disabled grandstand. Located on the ramparts of Monaco-city, the grandstand is available to people with reduced mobility and offers one of the most beautiful views of the circuit. In the 1960s, Princess Grace of Monaco insisted that disabled people must be able to watch the Grand Prix races and the stand was born.
Charlotte Casiraghi, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo attend the 77th Cannes Film Festival
Charlotte Casiraghi attended the screening of the French-Italian comedy film ‘Marcello Mio’ during the Cannes film festival at the Palais des Festivals on 21 May. On the red carpet, Charlotte Casiraghi wore a white gown from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2020 Couture Collection.
The next day, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo attended the world premiere of ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ at Cannes. The French adventure drama based on the 1844 novel was written and directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière and stars Pierre Niney. The film will be released theatrically in France on 28 June.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene held a reception at the Princely Palace to celebrate the 81st edition of Monaco Grand Prix. Guests, which included Grand Prix drivers, were welcomed by the Princely couple on the Court of Honour.
