Prince Albert II to Celebrate his Birthday at the Palace!

Prince Albert II will be celebrating his 66th birthday on Thursday 14 March. The Prince will be making an appearance on the balcony of the Palace in the morning to thank the public for wishing him a happy birthday.

A large gathering is expected for the occasion, which will take place at 11:15 a.m. right before the changing of the guard at 11:55 a.m. and a special birthday performance from the Prince’s Carabinieri orchestra.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attend Courchevel’s Gala

The 2nd Courchevel charity gala was held for the benefit of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the Courchevel Sports Club. Presided over by Prince Albert II and Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe, the gala took place in the presence of the Princely couple and over two hundred guests in the Crystal Globe Room at the Ineos Club House. Prince Alexander of Liechtenstein and his wife, Princess Astrid Barbara, were also in attendance.

Prince Albert II attends the International Olympic Committee World Conference in Monaco

The International Olympic Committee held its seventh world conference on the prevention of injuries and illnesses in sport in the Principality. Prince Albert II attended the event’s inauguration. 1,000 people from 80 countries participated in the event, including leading sports medicine experts and practitioners.

Prince Albert II speaks at the Blue Leaders event in Brussels

Prince Albert II gave the closing speech to an audience of leaders and decision-makers during the Blue Leaders meeting in Brussels on 7 March 2024 at the Résidence Palace. The Blue Leaders are 24 countries, including Monaco, who are committed to taking strong action to protect the world’s oceans. Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Austria are among the Blue Leaders, although France is not a member.

The key moment of the event was the signing of a declaration of commitment under the Treaty for the Protection of Biodiversity on the High Seas (BBNJ). Prince Albert II of Monaco ratified the agreement. Blue Leaders advocate that at least 30% of the global ocean surface must be protected as by 2030.

Princess Stephanie and Prince Albert II celebrate Women’s Day

Princess Stephanie and Prince Albert II opened the PowHer event on International Women’s Day, 8 March. Princess Stephanie represented her association, Fight Aids Monaco, during the event. Prince Albert II and Princess Stephanie participated in a wishing tree installation, created by Monegasque artist Mr One Teas aka Anthony Alberti. The pair hung notes on the tree, which was accessible to everyone throughout the day. Princess Stephanie wrote the word Liberty”, while Prince Albert II wrote the words: Equality, benevolence, together”.

Organised by the Women’s Rights Committee, the day featured debates on clichés surrounding housewives, a round table on women business leaders, an interactive forum on gender equality and poetry readings.

Prince Albert II stars in a New ‘Quintessentially Irish’ Documentary

After his Quintessentially British documentary, director Frank Mannion set out to capture what it means to be Irish. Prince Albert II, Usain Bolt, President Biden and Jeremy Irons all star in the film about the Emerald Isle.

In the film, Prince Albert II discusses the Irish heritage of his mother, Princess Grace. Like Prince Albert II, U.S. President Joe Biden comes from a proud Irish-American family from County Mayo, the same county as the Kelly family. The film is set to be released in American cinemas and on major online platforms right before St. Patricks Day.

Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra attend Paris Fashion Week

Charlotte Casiraghi attended the Chanel Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show at the Grand Palais Ephemere as part of the Paris Fashion Week on 5 March 2024. She wore a coral-coloured tweed jacket from Chanel’s Metiers Art 2023-24 collection. Charlotte Casiraghi has been Chanel’s brand ambassador and spokesperson since 2020. Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Charlotte’s half-sister, attended the Louboutin show during Paris Fashion week with her partner, Ben-Sylvester Strautmann.

Pauline Ducruet attends Paris Fashion Week

Pauline Ducruet attended the fall-winter 2024-2025 fashion show for the Miu Miu brand on 5 March. British actress Kristin Scott Thomas walked the catwalk during the event. Pauline Ducruet, daughter of Princess Stephanie, opted for a 70s inspired brown suede ensemble with a leather handbag and a pair of burgundy-tinted sunglasses. 

Pauline Ducruet presents her New Fashion Collection in Monaco

Pauline Ducruet’s fashion label, Alter Designs, presented its new collection at a pop-up store at the Métropole Shopping Centre, which will be open until 31 March. The collection is titled Alter Racing Club” and is inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix. It features polo shirts with patches, dresses with racing stripes and satin jumpsuits, reminiscent of a mechanic’s outfit. Alter was founded in 2018 as an inclusive and sustainable brand for all genders.
