Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene give New Year’s 2024 Speech
Prince Albert II gave his traditional New Year’s Eve speech with Princess Charlene by his side. The prince’s speech was recorded at the Prince’s Palace and shared with the public at 7:30 pm. During his speech, the Prince touched upon the past year’s centenary celebrations for Prince Rainier III and how 2023 was the 30th anniversary of the Principality’s admission to the United Nations.
“The year ahead heralds many challenges, but holds rich promise. We must continue to mobilise our efforts and devote all our energy to the cause of peace, mutual acceptance, and solidarity,” stated the Prince in his New Year’s message.
Together, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene concluded the video with traditional greetings in French, English and Monegasque: “Bonne nouvelle année, happy New Year, bon Anu Noevu.”
Princess Stephanie co-curates ‘The Prince at the Heart of the Circus’ Exhibition
An exhibition covering 50 years of the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival has been extended until 11 February. Located in the former Prince’s Car Collection, five decades of archives have been combined with costumes and models in a faux big top. Princess Stephanie co-curated the exhibition with Charlotte Gray.
The upcoming 46th edition of the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival will take place from 14 to 28 January. The festival will conclude the year-long centenary commemorations celebrating 100 years since the birth of Prince Rainier III.
In a recent press interview, Princess Stephanie disclosed that no detail of the Circus Festival went unnoticed by her father. Prince Rainier selected the numbers, was there when the artists arrived and was driven by a passion to present the best circus numbers in the world.
First Peek at Baby Victoire in Louis and Marie Ducruet’s Family Christmas Photo
“Merry Christmas from the four of us,” writes Marie Ducruet on instagram after sharing a sweet family portrait. Taken at the Hôtel Hermitage in Monaco, the photo features herself holding baby Victoire with Louis and their dog, Pancake.
The foursome are all donning matching Christmas pyjamas. Victoire Ducruet, born on 4 April 2023, just celebrated her very first Christmas. Her parents are always very careful to keep her face hidden in public photos. In the family Christmas photo, her face is slightly turned away from camera.
