Signing of Agreement between the French Blood Establishment and Princess Grace Hospital

Prince Albert II visited the Princess Grace Hospital Centre (CHPG) on Tuesday 15 November to sign an Agreement between the French Blood Establishment (EFS) and the Blood Transfusion Center (CTS) of the CHPG.

The agreement, signed by the Director of the CHPG, Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, and the President of the EFS, François Toujas, aims to define the terms of cooperation between the EFS and the CTS in terms of training, regulatory monitoring, science and improving the quality of the management system.

It also makes it possible to formalize the supply of blood products by the EFS, since it is not possible to ensure all necessary transfusions for the Principality’s three healthcare establishments (about 40% of which are covered by donations collected by the EFS).

For the occasion, the Sovereign took part in the CHPG’s #TeamDonneur campaign to raise public awareness about the vital cause. Prince Albert II also discovered the “Bloodmobile” a car that transports employees free of charge from their place of work to the Princess Grace Hospital Centre to facilitate blood donation.
