After Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2024, the Principality of Monaco has been chosen as the World Capital of Sport for the year 2025.
Monaco’s Ambassador to Belgium, H.E. Mr. Frédéric Labarrere, was honoured on Thursday, December 12, in Brussels with the symbolic flag of the Association of European Capitals and Cities of Sport (ACES). This organization, officially recognized by the European Commission and partnered with UNESCO, presented the flag to Monaco during its annual gala event at the European Parliament.
