Monaco’s “Like Nowhere Else” Tourism Campaign
Every year, the Directorate of Tourism and Congress brings all its teams together in Monaco for an annual meeting to take stock of the last year and define their new objectives for the year ahead. Members from ten representative offices recently assembled at the Grimaldi forum in the presence of H.E. Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, and Pierre-André Chiappori, Minister of Finance and Economy.
Record-breaking hotel rates
“2023 was a wonderful year that closed with an occupancy rate of 57% at hotels in the Principality, one point higher than 2022. The average daily hotel rate rose 3.5% to a record €474 excluding taxes and charges,” states a recent press release by the Princely Government.
Top three nationalities that visit Monaco…
Monaco’s summer results were driven by tourists from the United States and the Middle East, but the top 3 nationalities to visit the Principality has changed. In 2023, the United States finished second behind France. Italy came in third, pushing the United Kingdom to fourth place.
“Like Nowhere Else” campaign
During the congress, Guy Antognelli, Director of the Tourist and Convention Authority, stated that the DTC would expand promotion initiatives in the most promising markets. In addition to a wide-ranging initiative on sustainable tourism, ambitious efforts will be rolled out to promote the “Like Nowhere Else” campaign with airlines, including Air France, United Airlines, Lufthansa, China Airlines and British Airways.
“Monaco is a destination where visitors can discover brand new experiences in iconic locations, which no one can claim to have experienced anywhere else. For the Principality of Monaco is, undeniably, like nowhere else,” states a press release from the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority.
According to the Minister of State, the forecasts for 2024 are extremely positive, particularly in terms of new direct connections at the Nice Côte d’Azur airport. The tourism industry is one of the pillars of the Monegasque economy and society.
