An exciting art contest to design the lunar vehicle of the future was launched in Monaco by the organizers of Top Marques Monaco, inviting young creative minds to envision the space vehicle of tomorrow. The competition is part of a series of thrilling events marking the 20th anniversary of Top Marques, taking place this year at the Grimaldi Forum from May 7 to 11, 2025.

Over four days, the exhibition centre will be filled with luxury supercars, rare classic cars, and an exclusive selection of watches and bespoke jewellery—all of which will be available for purchase. A range of events, including a retrospective exhibition showcasing the show’s illustrious history and the annual Carspotters Award, will provide exciting activities for car enthusiasts of all ages.

The art contest, organized in collaboration with the Monaco Education Department, draws inspiration from the FLEX lunar rover—designed by Monaco’s very own Venturi Space, which is set to land on the Moon in 2026. The innovative rover was a highlight of last year’s event.

Children attending school or residing in Monaco and the Alpes-Maritimes department are invited to design their own space vehicle, taking into account the ecological and geographical challenges of driving on the Moon. For instance, with no petrol stations in space and terrain much rougher than the smooth roads of the Principality, young designers will need to be creative.

The lucky winner of the Top Marques Monaco art competition will be invited to visit the Venturi Space showroom as part of their prize.

“Today, many questions are being raised about how we can evolve with vehicles that will take us to new horizons,” said the organization. “We are asking the children of Monaco and the Alpes-Maritimes to propose their own designs, as we are confident that their ideas will be both innovative and inspiring.” – Top Marques Monaco

Entrants will be judged in two categories: one for children in CE2 to CM2, and the other for children in 6th to 3rd. For more information about the competition, and to submit entries by the April 18, 2025 deadline, please visit the Top Marques Monaco website: www.topmarquesmonaco.com.
