There’s Bound to be a Record of Youngest-Ever AS Monaco Supporters Born at CHPG?

How cute… it’s almost enough to create a spurt in the new-born population in Monaco.

Did you know that AS Monaco has had this creative idea to provide a Club birth kit to all newborns with Monégasque parents or residents of the Principality at the Princess Grace Hospital Center (CHPG).

And it falls to goalie Yann Lienard and Bouba to forge the first honours and ceremoniously present a kit to new-borns this month in 2024, symbolizing the club’s commitment to the community. So starting January 1, 2024, each parent at CHPG will receive a birth kit containing a congratulatory card, onesie, and Bouba huggable plush.

To mark the occasion, AS Monaco goalkeeper Yann Lienard and mascot Bouba personally handed the first Red & White birth kit to newly born Michelle and Eden’s parents on January 1st and 2nd, in the presence of CHPG Director Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges. Eden’s father, Ferxel Fourgon, known among red and white supporters, expressed joy at the club’s involvement in Monaco’s daily life and social initiatives. Coincidentally, the father of little Eden is none other than the announcer for AS Monaco Basket at the Gaston-Médecin arena.

This initiative reflects the longstanding relationship between AS Monaco and CHPG, showcasing the club’s family spirit and proximity to the Principality and its residents.

Never to Early to Become a Supporter

Yann Lienard emphasized that it’s never too early to become a club supporter, especially for a team playing where you were born. This effort aligns with the club’s ongoing joint actions with CHPG, including blood donation campaigns and the inauguration of the new emergency service, supported by AS Monaco’s President Dmitry Rybolovlev and attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Imagine a population boom in Monaco and all those future supporters waiting to cheer when AS Monaco ultimately wins the Champions League trophy.

We’ve been as far as the final. The team had, after all, on the way eliminated a great Real Madrid side, Los Galacticos in the quarterfinals, a team with Zinédine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Raul, Iker Casillas and Roberto Carlos. And then they beat Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in the semifinals; exploits that will remain forever a part of the club’s history.

So these newborns come into an era where AS Monaco has just one final step to take for complete glory to win a UEFA  Champions League Final!
