Rugby at its most Fun: The Water Games on a Floating Pitch at Monaco Yacht Club

What could be better on a hot sweltering day than water games in Monaco with a Mediterranean view to die for? But what if your game is Rugby and you are at the Yacht Club. It’s almost an oxymoron… Rugby players need turf to run, dive and score tries. The diving at the Yacht Club de Monaco was the only common factor; you can dive in the water but where’s the turf? 

Just leave it to Monaco where no matter the event the Principality can host it … horse jumping no problem, so a Rugby match as part of water games, it’s a cinch; just leave it to Monaco’s creativity. And so magically appeared a 40 metre by 35 metre floating playing field with shining green synthetic turf in front of the Yacht Club…

Maserati returns to the podium at home in Rome

Maserati MSG Racing’s Maximilian Günther brought the Trident back to the podium at the 2023 Rome E-Prix by finishing third in the Italian brand’s first race at home since 1957.

Max and team-mate, Edoardo Mortara, were in strong form in the build-up to the race, emerging as key contenders after a competitive showing in practice.

The SBM recently announced that its subsidiary under Luxembourg law, MonteCarlo SBM International SARL, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of a hotel establishment, the Palace des Neiges, in the Northern Alps.

“This acquisition is the translation of our desire to deploy new sources of growth beyond the Principality of Monaco, while retaining what makes up the DNA of our group, by relying on the new direction of international development. In addition to reaching a new target clientele, the future operation will allow our group to be able to develop its seasonality and give new perspectives to our employees throughout the year. It is a matter of writing a new page in the history of our company in a high place of international luxury,” says Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of the SBM.

AS Monaco and Kappa® are pleased to present the new HOME kit that the players will wear during the 2023-2024 season.

At the dawn of this new season, the club from the Principality and the Italian equipment manufacturer unveil the KOMBAT™ PRO 2024 jersey. This new kit is in the purest Rouge et Blanc tradition, featuring the iconic 55° Diagonal on its front side, as well as on the back of the jersey where it makes its return. On the red part, a  pattern made up of quadrilaterals, also arranged at 55°, helps enhance the whole.
