The Testimonio II project is well ahead of schedule, with the first tower now set to be completed by the end of this year. Stretching down from Boulevard d’Italie to Avenue Princesse-Grace, Testimonio II construction began in the second quarter of 2017, with project delivery originally scheduled for 2024.
The first tower was recently named “Elsa” and will be home to 181 state-owned housing units. The second tower is also developing ahead of schedule and is projected to be ready by June 2023. The National Council recently amended the 2022 budget, adding €59 million to the Housing plan, with an extra €25.7 million for the Testimonio II project.
Testimonio II team members also worked on Tour Odéon
After Groupe Marzocco won the competition for the project in 2013, it teamed up with Vinci Immobilier and Vinci Construction to work on the construction alongside SATRI, as well as with interior designer Alexandre Giraldi and Arquitectonica. This team, some of whom worked together on the Tour Odéon project, was joined by interior designer Laura Sessa.
At 27 and 30 storeys high, 95 and 100 metres respectively, the towers will soon be among the tallest residential buildings on the entire Côte d’Azur. Testimonio II will comprise of 348 housing units altogether, a 50-place nursery and a car park with 1,100 spaces. Additional luxurious living spaces will be created by the 56 grand Bay House apartments, as well as five villas, each with its own private roof gardens and pools.
New home for the International School of Monaco
Testimonio II will also be the new home for the International School of Monaco, a 10,000 m2 primary and secondary school with 700 students from around the world. Plans for the new school include a vast, light-filled reception area, a soaring atrium and a state-of-the-art gymnasium and auditorium.
