Prince Albert II attends Le Prince et la Mer Documentary Screening

Prince Albert II attended the advanced screening of a documentary entitled “Le Prince et la Mer(The Prince and the Sea) about the Yersin expedition and the Prince’s devotion to helping preserve the planet.

Christine Oberdorff, the film’s director, followed the Sovereign Prince during the first two stages of his journey aboard the Yersin, Monaco’s research vessel, to create the 75 minute documentary. She was able to convey the Yersin’s quest to find a compromise between the necessity of preserving nature and the necessity of preserving the livelihood of those who depend on natural resources.

Prince Albert II attends Final Gala for Carabiniers du Prince Bicentennial

Prince Albert II attended the final gala of the year to celebrate the bicentennial of the Carabiniers du Prince. Throughout 2017, various events took place to commemorate the Bicentenary of the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince, including concerts, exhibitions and the creation of a commemorative stamp as well as a 2 euro coin.  The year’s final event was a dinner gala at the Salle des Etoiles in the presence of Prince Albert, Princess Stephanie and her son Louis Ducret. During the gala, Prince Albert received the first copy of the Bicentennial Calendar from Colonel Fringant.

Princely Family inaugurates Christmas Village

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and twins Jacques and Gabriela visited the Christmas Village on the Port Hercule. Mayor Georges Marsan welcomed the Princely family before they officially inaugurated the 18th Christmas Village. This year’s village boasts a skating rink, carnival rides including a new ‘free fall simulator’ and almost fifty chalets full of food and potential gifts to help the public get into the holiday spirit.

Princess Caroline attended Surrealist Dinner Party

Yesterday evening, on December 9, 2017, Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the Surrealist Dinner Party hosted by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. Charles Kaisinis a designer whose work explores the processes that generate a form.
