Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurate the “Olympic flame over time” Exhibition

On 18 July, the Princely couple inaugurated a new exhibition which features forty Olympic torches from the private collection of Prince Albert II.

The exceptional exhibition was organized at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco by the Monaco Olympic Committee to celebrate the centenary of the third rowing gold medal won by John B. Kelly Sr, the grandfather of Prince Albert II.

The torches, emblematic symbols of the Olympics, span from 1936 to 2024 and are displayed into two halves: one for the Summer Games and the other for the Winter Games.

The exhibition’s unique scenography allows visitors to travel back in time and witness the stylistic evolution of the torches over the years.
