Annual meeting of the Strategic Council for Attractiveness

On Friday 21st October, the Strategic Council for Attractiveness (CSA) held its annual plenary meeting at the Oceanographic Museum. On this occasion, HE the Minister of State, Serge Telle, presented the 2015-2016 activity report in a new bilingual format, in the presence of Government, Ministers and members of the CSA.

During his speech Mr Serge Telle made the following comments: “The Strategic Council for Attractiveness is a particularly useful tool for the Principality because attractiveness is at the heart of our model – not only economic, but also social and cultural. The Prince asked to strengthen the Monaco model, and attractiveness is an essential element of the strategy to deploy. This attractiveness is important for all of us, of course, but also for all Monegasque actors of the Principality. “That is why I attach such a high importance in the open nature of your work, your public and private combined approach to Monegasques and foreign.”

The Presidents of the Commissions (Finance, Real Estate, Destination Monaco, Quality of Life, and Monaco Yachting Capital) discussed the results of their activity and the committed lines of thought. Government Counsellors then discussed interesting records and files on the progress of the CSA.

Thus, Jean CASTELLINI, Government Counsellor – Minister of Economy and Finance, introduced the presentation of the application for Smartphones “Monaco Welcome”. Laurence Garino, Director of MWBO, then explained the features of this tool.
Stéphane VALERI, Government Counsellor – Minister of Social Affairs and Health then took stock of Monaco Princess Grace Check-Up Unit.
Finally, Marie-Pierre GRAMAGLIA, Government Counsellor – Minister of Infrastructure, Environment and Urban Development spoke about the concept of “Smart City Monaco” and presented the website “infochantiers.mc”.

In conclusion to this plenary meeting, the guest of honor, Michel PETITE, currently a lawyer at Clifford Chance Paris office and formerly Director General of the Legal Service at the European Commission, gave a presentation on “The Brexit: beginning of a difficult negotiation of exit the strategy. ”

It definitely looks like Monaco will continue to be at the forefront of attractiveness, and is clearly targeting the new generation in their strategy, using technology and modern tools that the younger generation is familiar with. The Future lies within the reactivity of the youth.
