Operation FANB: Construction Works for Urban Networks

The construction of the future private school “Francois d’Assise Nicolas Barré” (FANB), on Roqueville avenue, and the construction of the Diocesan House on Bellevue Street are both underway and will cause the closure and re-routing of certain roads and networks.

Work will be carried out to connect these buildings to electrical, telephone and water networks from the 9th of January until mid-November, 2017.  These works will be carried out in three phases:

  • 9th of January to the beginning of March 2017: complete closure of rue Paradis. A bypass route will be set up by Saint Michel avenue, rue des Genêts and rue des Roses.
  • Beginning of March to the end of June, 2017: Phase‘2 a’ will concern Rue de la Source, between Rue des Roses and Avenue de Roqueville. In August, Phase ‘2b’ will cover the section between the avenue de Roqueville and the border with France; and at the same time, between rue de la Source and rue Bellevue. These two phases will involve a complete closure of the roads involved. A diverted circulation pattern of the neighbourhood will be set up in coordination with the Commune of Beausoleil.
  • Beginning of October to mid-November 2017: the last phase will take place between Bellevue Street and Princesse Charlotte Boulevard.

The future private school “FANB” will bring together classes from Du Rocher college and Lycée to reach a total of 750 potential pupils. Its completion is scheduled for the end of 2018, for the re-entry of students after the Winter school holidays in 2019.

The future Diocesan House will be built on the old “Villa Roma”, 18, rue Bellevue. It will be built on 5 levels from Bel Respiro Street and will include Pastoral and Administrative Services. It may also host religious studies, ceremonies and demonstrations.
