The countdown has begun for Expo Dubai, with just three months to go! The Principality is gearing up for its much-anticipated pavilion, entitled ‘Monaco 360° a world of opportunities’. Initially scheduled for 2020, the Universal Exhibition was postponed due to Covid-19. The new dates are from 1 October 2021 until 31 March 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.

It’s a rare occasion when Charles Leclerc finishes seventh and declares it as one of his best drives ever in Formula 1.

That’s exactly what happened in Austria this week-end when the Monegasque ace who started on the grid in seventh place collided with Pierre Gasly between turns 1 and 2 at the start of the race.

It could have been all over for Charles, forced to then pit with a damaged wing. But he was determined to fight to be in the points.

The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), which was founded in Monaco at the initiative of Prince Albert I, celebrated recently its centenary.

On World Hydrography Day, the organisation’s 94 member states gathered in person at the IHO’s Monegasque headquarters and virtually, with a broadcast of speeches by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Dr Mathias Jonas, the IHO Secretary-General, Engineer General Laurent Kerléguer, Director-General of the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM), and H.E. Peter Thomson, the UN Special Envoy for the Ocean.

With 3 months to go before the opening of the 2021 edition, the Monaco Yacht Show is fine-tuning its brand-new format dedicated to superyacht end users. The show will be set in a safe environment, with the participation of major players from across the industry.

The organisers of the MYS have presently confirmed that 300 exhibitors will be participating. They have also announced that nearly 60 superyachts will be exhibited, including 40 brand-new launches by some of the most famous shipyards – not to mention regulars here at the MYS – including: Benetti, Feadship, Lürssen, Oceanco, etc. (full list at the end of the press release).

AS Monaco have just announced the two-season signing of 24-year-old Alexander Nübel on loan from Bayern Munich to the “royal club” of the Principality. 

The former German Under 21s international goalkeeper, will wear Monaco’s colours until 2023.

The art forum’s 5th edition reinstates its international reputation. According to its director, Thomas Hug: “Most of our exhibitors and collectors become our regulars”…

The 5th edition of artmonte-carlo, an unmissable event for collectors, had sadly, earlier, been compromised by the sanitary crisis. The forum initially planned, but cancelled in April 2020, is returning to the Principality this summer with new dynamics.
