The Monte-Carlo Television Festival recently unveiled its star-studded program of events. Morgan Freeman will be presented with the Crystal Nymph award and Olivier Marchal will be recipient of the Honorary Nymph, stated Laurent Puons, CEO, and Cécile Menoni, Executive Director of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival on 6 May.
Morgan Freeman to attend World Premiere
The Festival, taking place between 14-18 June 2024, will open with the world premiere screening of ‘The Gray House’ on Friday 14 June at the Grimaldi Forum at 7:00 p.m. The first episode of the limited series will be broadcast following the Opening Ceremony. Executive producers Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, Invictus…), Leslie Greif (Hatfields & McCoys) and Lori McCreary (Madam Secretary), as well as actors Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds, The West Wing), Daisy Head (Harlots), Amethyst Davis (Kindred) and Ben Vereen (Roots) will all be in attendance.
Following the Opening Ceremony, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco will present actor and producer Morgan Freeman with the prestigious Crystal Nymph, in recognition of his outstanding career.

Simone Ashley to win International Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent
After Théo Christine in 2022 and Julia de Nunez last year, British actress Simone Ashley will be receiving the Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent, an award that honours the talent of an exceptionally promising actor.
The Closing Ceremony will be held at the Grimaldi Forum on Tuesday 18 June. Laury Thilleman, TV presenter and former Miss France, will be presenting in the company of French singer and actor Vincent Niclo. A host of talented actors and leading industry professionals, as well as members of the festival’s jury, will be in attendance.
Renowned Screenwriter and Producer to be Honoured.
The Honorary Golden Nymph is the Festival’s highest distinction and is awarded to a renowned professional for their extraordinary contribution to the entertainment industry. This year, the award will be presented to French actor and director Olivier Marchal (36 quai des Orfèvres, Ne le dis à personne, Braquo, Bronx…) duringthe Closing Ceremony.
