Music, theatre, art exhibitions, conferences, festivals, galas and more are on the 2023 agenda at the Grimaldi Forum. An unprecedented calendar of events was recently unveiled in the presence of the press and five-hundred attendees. The main message of the unveiling was that, this year, the pandemic will not slow things down for Monaco’s cultural centre.
Golden Nymph Awards: Call for Entries
The Monte-Carlo Television Festival recently announced a call for entries for the renowned Golden Nymph Awards, which will be presented during the 62nd Monte-Carlo Television festival, between 16-20 June 2023 at the Grimaldi Forum. With renowned celebrities, world premieres, anniversary tributes, behind-the-scenes panels and signing sessions, the Festival is always a must-attend experience.
Top Marques
Billed “the world’s most exclusive car show” by The New York Times, Top Marques will take place at the Grimaldi Forum from 7 to 11 June 2023, under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. Lovers of supercars and technology will be able to witness iconic brands that have already confirmed their presence at this year’s event, including: Bugatti, Ferrari, Pininfarina, Aston Martin, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, as well as niche and green manufacturers. This year, a prestigious “Avant-premiere” evening with limited ticketing will take place on 7 June from 8pm to 11pm.
Monet in Full Light
Part of the of the 140th anniversary celebration of Claude Monet’s first visit to Monaco and the Riviera, where the leader of Impressionism discovered landscapes and a quality of light that would mark a turning point in his work, the Monet exhibition will be held from 8 July to 3 September 2023. The exhibition brings together a total of one hundred paintings, almost half of which have been provided through the Musée Marmottan Monet. Other masterpieces will be on loan from private collections, including the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, as well as major international institutions around the globe. Twenty of the paintings were created on the Riviera and will be exhibited for the first time near the preserved sites where they were painted.
West Side Story
One of the greatest love stories of all time will be performed from 13-15 October 2023 at the Grimaldi Forum. The thrilling new production of West Side Story, directed by the New York-based Lonny Price, choreographed by Jerome Robbins and featuring the memorable music by Leonard Bernstein is already opening a new chapter in West Side Story’s epic success story. The exciting new production features the legendary original choreography that tells the moving tale of two gangs; one love.
Grimaldi Forum technology goes on tour!
Known for hosting state-of-the-art cultural exhibitions, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco is now exporting its know-how in the form of tailor-made stands for trade fairs. Composed of several modular elements: desks, show cases, LED screens and more, this tailor-made stand is fully adaptable. Stored in the Grimaldi Forum hangar in Carros between events, it will be transported, assembled and disassembled by a dedicated team to nine upcoming trade fairs across Europe, including: Milan, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.
The Grimaldi Forum’s expansion is currently in progress in the Mareterra district and will result in 6,000 more indoor square metres and 2,000 more square metres by 2025. In two years, the extra space will help the cultural centre host even more and larger events.
