The 3rd Museum Festival will be a celebration of our oceans with a rich program of activities taking place on Saturday 11 June from 10 am to 7 pm at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Aimed at young people aged 3 to 14 and their families, the festival invites everyone to dive into the marine world with a schedule full of workshops, plays, treasure hunts, crafts, film screenings and more.
The Friends of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco Association (AAMOM) is organizing the fun-filled day of festivities which will be dedicated to education, ecology, science and the health and beauty of the ocean.
Adopt a fish…or a seahorse!
Visitors can contribute to the AAMOM during the Museum Festival by “adopting” a fish. With a donation of €50 or more, contributors will receive a certificate formalizing their sponsorship, an identity card for the chosen animal and unlimited access to the Museum for one year (valid for one adult and one child under 18 years of age). Small-spotted catsharks, Aurelia jellyfish, clownfish, Banggai cardinal fish and seahorses are all species available for adoption. Funds collected from the adoptions will help support the Museum’s aquariums.
Access to the Polar Mission Exhibition
During the Museum Festival, visitors are also invited to discover the brand new Polar Mission exhibition, an immersive and interactive display at the Oceanographic Museum. From the discovery of the North and South Poles, to exciting wildlife, to thrill-seeking explorers, to the Inuit people, the exhibition features artefacts, digital content and 360° immersive experiences in five sections spread out over two floors.
Tickets to the Museum Festival are free for children under 4 and members of the AAMOM. Admission for adults is €18 and €12 for children.
