Jackpot Fever in Monaco: How Many Millions is Casino Café de Paris Paying Out

Monaco’s Casino Café de Paris is making headlines again, setting the bar high for jackpot payouts. In January 2025 alone, the casino saw over 17 million euros won on its slot machines, with nearly 2,000 lucky players walking away with substantial prizes. Among them, one particularly fortunate individual struck gold on January 30, pocketing an impressive 655,875 euros—one of the largest jackpots of the year.

Monaco remains the premier destination for those chasing life-changing prizes. This win on January 30 is the 3rd biggest win within in a year in the casinos of Monte-Carlo. Reportedly 1,207,750 euros were won on March 30, 2024, then 930,875 euros on July 28. The Casino Café de Paris has once again proven that fortune favours the bold—and with millions up for grabs every year, the next big winner could be just one spin away.

Over the past year, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport expanded its network to reach a historic high of 122 destinations in 45 countries and a record number of long-haul routes: 5 to the United States, 2 to Canada and 6 to the Gulf States.

“Connecting the Côte d’Azur directly to major regional cities and developing direct routes to international capitals is a responsible way of meeting the transport needs of Côte d’Azur residents and all those who come to visit us,” says Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.

In 2024, Nice airport handled nearly 14.8 million passengers across all aircraft types (commercial aviation, business aviation and helicopter traffic), compared with 14.2 million in 2023 (and 14.5 million passengers in 2019). General aviation traffic was up by 2.5% at Nice Côte d’Azur airport, while it remained stable in Cannes and Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Two major acquisitions in the Radiotherapy Department of the Princess Grace Hospital Centre were inaugurated on Monday 3 February, just one day before World Cancer Day. The acquisitions were made possible through a generous donation of €1,300,000 from Irvine Laidlaw.

The two innovations are: a surface radiotherapy system that increases the precision of exposure when treating patients; and equipment that can treat skin cancers which were previously inoperable due to patients’ medical restrictions. This equipment is now part of the Skin Tumour Centre.
