Two of Monaco’s restaurants were recently awarded Michelin stars, which means they can now join the program of the Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo. L’Abysse Monte-Carlo and Elsa will be joining the fifth edition of the Festival, beginning on 10 April 2025, with the central theme being: dinners prepared by two chefs.

An unprecedented exhibition exploring links between the Principality and the Napoleons is coming to the Grimaldi Forum this summer. “Monaco and the Napoleons: Intertwined Destinies,” will be on display from July 11 to August  31, 2025.

Held under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II, the event will unveil deep and unique ties between the Principality and the First and Second Napoleonic Empires for the very first time. Louis Ducruet, who is actively involved in promoting Monegasque historical heritage, will serve as the exhibition’s ambassador.

Monaco launches awareness campaign on the importance of accurate patient identification and safety in healthcare.

“To be treated properly, I must be properly identified” – under this motto, the Principality of Monaco is launching a public information campaign on accurate patient identification as part of its policy for quality and safety in healthcare. The campaign will be implemented across all healthcare facilities in the Principality.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco has declared a period of national mourning in the Principality, which will span three days, from Thursday, April 24th to Saturday, April 26th, the day of the funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis. This solemn occasion marks the passing of a figure who was beloved by millions worldwide and whose loss has left an indelible mark on the global community.

In a sign of reverence, the Sovereign Prince has ordered flags to be flown at half-mast on all public buildings throughout Monaco. This gesture began on Monday, April 21st, and continues until the conclusion of the funeral. During this time, public buildings will also remain unlit as a mark of respect for Pope Francis’s life and legacy.
