Yasunari Okazaki and Hirotaka Wada at L’Abysse

Only eight months after its opening in July 2024, L’Abysse Monte-Carlo, located in the heart of the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, has received two stars at once from the Michelin Guide. The restaurant, created by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno and sushi master Yasunari Okazaki, will be hosting a four-handed dinner with Hirotaka Wada, chef of the Michelin-starred London restaurant Sushi Kanesaka.

“For this exceptional evening, the two Japanese chefs will combine their talents and pay a true tribute to Japanese cuisine. Combining exceptional expertise and rare quality products, let yourself be transported by a dinner that enhances the flavours of Japan,” says a recent press release by the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM).

Chef Marcel Ravin and Chef Florent Pietravalle at Elsa

One year after taking over the reins of Elsa, in the heart of the iconic Monte-Carlo Beach hotel, Chef Marcel Ravin has achieved a goal he set himself: a star for the Elsa restaurant. Chefs Marcel Ravin and Domenico D’Antonio will welcome Chef Florent Pietravalle, who is at the helm of the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant La Mirande in Avignon.

“The chefs will combine their talent, creativity, and commitment to the environment for a high-flying evening, overlooking a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean,” says the SBM.

La Mirande has also been awarded a Green Star by the renowned Red Guide, which resonates well with Elsa, an establishment committed to responsible culinary excellence, using fresh produce from sustainable fishing and plants harvested in the Agerbol estate, on the heights of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
