High-end cosmetics manufacturer, MAC, has opened a new boutique in Monaco. Located at 14 Rue Grimaldi, the shop is open from 10am until 7pm everyday except Sundays. The grand opening was on 2 April 2025.
“Find MAC, a global leader in the makeup industry, in your Monaco boutique and benefit from the expertise of our Makeup Artists, with personalized support during your visit to the boutique,” states the Canadian cosmetics brand.
Founded in Toronto in 1984 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo, the company has been headquartered in New York City since becoming a subsidiary of Estée Lauder Companies in 1998. MAC, which is an acronym for Make-Up Art Cosmetics, is one of the top three global makeup brands, with an annual turnover of over $1 billion and 500 independent stores in over 120 countries. Over thirty MAC stores are located in France and all stores are run by professional makeup artists.

MAC products were initially intended for makeup professionals, but were soon sold directly to consumers worldwide. According to MAC’s website, inclusion and diversity are at the heart of the company’s values: “MAC defends a simple idea: all ages, all ethnicities, all genders.”
The grand opening of Monaco’s own MAC boutique came with many surprises, including sweet treats, free tote bags with any purchase of 75 euros or more and a gift box of three MAC products for the first 15 visitors.
