Recently, Mayor Georges Marsan and many members of the Communal Council welcomed His Excellency the Minister of State Serge Telle, Monsignor Bernard Barsi, Archbishop of Monaco, Stéphane Valeri, President of the National Council and the architects in charge of the project to inaugurate the recently renovated Town Hall.
Seven months of work went as planned to restore the place to its former glory. A major project conceived by architects Orietta Polonio and Pierre Antonini from Atelier 7, and realized successively and jointly (according to the phases) by four Monegasque companies.
The new hall is bright, harmoniously symmetrical, more spacious and functional, and fully meets the expectations of the Communal Council. The chosen shades of colour, from taupes to whites to warm grays, offer a soft and elegant side to the whole hall. And although the work has certainly modernized the place, it still retains its old heritage with its gilded ceiling and neat plaster stucco on the walls.
In his speech, the Mayor thanked all the municipal services for the understanding they showed during the months of renovations, during which the Town Hall remained open. Georges Marsan also warmly thanked the team of Communal Technical Services which, under the leadership of François Lallemand, Deputy Mayor and Jean Ferry, Head of Service, carried out the project under the best possible conditions and respected all deadlines.
