For the first time, the public can help light up Monaco’s Christmas tree for a good cause. From 4 December until 3 January, the Monegasque Red Cross and Fight Aids Monaco are launching ‘Une lumière pour Noël’ (‘A Light for Christmas’) and accepting donations in exchange for lights on the Principality’s tree.
The tree is currently on display in the centre of Monaco’s Christmas Village. And for those who can’t go see the tree in person, a light will also be illuminated on a special virtual tree for every donation.
To participate in the holiday event, visit www.unelumierepournoel.org or scan the QR code on display in the Christmas Village. Any donation, big or small, will help illuminate the Christmas tree. You can also give a donation as a meaningful gift for someone special on your list (you know, that person who already has everything they could possibly want!)
The solidarity event will be carried out in partnership with Monaco’s City Hall. The beautiful Christmas Tree will be in the heart of Monaco’s Christmas village on the port from Friday 4 December 2020 to Sunday 3 January 2021.
To help spread the word and reach the associations’ ambitious goal of €50,000, the hashtag #unelumierepournoel has also been launched and is already spreading on social networks.
