FunFair in Monaco: security is the priority

The Fun Fair of Monaco 2016, has eagerly been awaited for, like each year, during the All Saints school holiday: about 80 stalls, rides and attractions are installed on the site of Hercules Port. As always the fair is for all the young at heart from toddlers to retirees.

At the initiative of the Municipality of Monaco, the principality is preparing to welcome, over the next month the different attractions and stalls of the fun Fair. A long time tradition and eagerly awaited for by all, this event will have tight security measures placed in and around the venues for peace of mind and a fun fair happening in the best possible conditions.

Besides the usual classic security checks at the entrance to the enclosure of the fair, to ensure the added safety of pedestrians likely to have to queue up as far back as the bus lane on boulevard Albert 1st due to the tight filtering operations at the entrance of the fair, will be put into place. Thus, two areas will be managed on the bus lane on boulevard Albert 1st to the right Princess Caroline and Suffren Reymond streets. The tour bus lines will not be affected.

However, bus traffic in this corridor will not be possible. In order to reduce the impact of safety measures on the general traffic, the Vehicle Parking will be prohibited on the sea side of the alley against this boulevard, between Princesse Caroline street and Suffren Reymond, and the corresponding channel will be dedicated to general circulation.

Some fun and happiness for all: Toddlers will be delighted with duck fishing, children’s rides in large numbers, cotton candy, waffles and love apples. The kids will be entertained with mini-excavator, inflatables, trampolines, rides on rail or water, caterpillars, fairground rides, ice palace, adventure stories. For teens and adults there will be of course the thrill rides, new shooting galleries, games, and many food stands for all the foodies.
