May: Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix

Every year since 1929, Monaco hosts the world’s most prestigious car race. A 3.34 km track runs across the streets of the city, the slowest and most difficult race of the Formula series. The Principality puts a lot of time and effort to build the stands and protective barriers for the drivers, guests, and the throngs of tourists who arrive. The end of May, when the race takes place, is the time for the highest hotel prices of the year and the largest number of people invading Monaco streets and making noisy parties. Locals usually leave the country and schools and offices are closed at this time.

July – August: Summer Sporting Music Festival

During the Festival, international singers of all scales perform every week. This year Enrique Iglesias, Seal, The Scorpions and many others starred on the Sporting stage and the tickets were sold out long before the performances. Some of the shows offer a dinner before the performance.
