Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of Cultural Affairs, presented this week at the Princess Grace Theater the summer season of the Department of Cultural Affairs, in the presence of high authorities, representatives of cultural entities of the Principality and the press.
14 Evenings at the Fort Antoine Theatre
The 51st edition of the Théâtre du Fort Antoine (June 29 – August 6) and the 15th edition of the Monaco International Organ Festival (June 27 – August 15) will punctuate the summer with respectively 14 evenings and 7 meetings at the Cathedral, including a cine-concert.
At Fort Antoine, the Department of Cultural Affairs in addition to its theater program which will allow the discovery of creations specially adapted by the companies for this unique place, invited the Printemps des Arts, the NMNM, the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation, the Institut audiovisual of Monaco, the Philosophical Meetings of Monaco, the Princess Grace Theater, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra to perform on the Fort Antoine stage.
The program will be eclectic: screenings, concerts, “alone on stage” and a conference and a very special evening in tribute to Jean-René Palacio who participated in the development of this program in collaboration with the Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco.
7 Events at the Cathedral including a Cine Concert
Original programs on the theme of “Organ sharing” were unveiled by Olivier Vernet, Artistic Director of the Monaco International Organ Festival.
The Festival will be an opportunity to present the latest recordings made on the organ of the Cathedral which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and for which an anniversary concert will be organized. In collaboration with the Médiathèque de Monaco, a signing meeting with Claude Passet and Silvano Rodi, authors of the “Grand livre de organ à Monaco”, will be organized at the Louis Notari Library.
