Fast and Fearless: Charles Leclerc Swaps his Ferrari for a Fighter Jet in Thrilling New Documentary

Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque sensation of Formula 1, has embarked on an entirely new high-speed journey—not on the race track, but in the skies. Stepping out of his Ferrari and into the cockpit of a Dassault Rafale, Leclerc trades the roar of an F1 engine for the sonic boom of a fighter jet. This extraordinary experience is captured in a new Canal+ documentary, set to premiere on November 3.

In the documentary Charles Leclerc: Supersonic, viewers are promised an up-close look as Leclerc joins the French Air Force at Air Base 113 in Saint-Dizier for a training mission. For Leclerc, this is no typical day of training: the Rafale, capable of soaring past 1,900 km/h, will expose him to a world of extreme G-forces and maneuvers unlike anything in Formula 1.

The spirit of Monaco’s football legacy gathered at the Grimaldi Forum this past Sunday, as AS Monaco legends and Louis Ducruet, current president of the Barbagiuans, launched the Sportel Awards with the presentation of a heartfelt new book, Un Prince & des légendes. Though more biography than fiction, the book celebrates a remarkable story, tracing the journey of the Barbagiuans, the charity team founded by Prince Albert II in 1980 to keep playing the game he loved alongside his friends while supporting noble causes. The Barbagiuans will soon mark 45 years on the field.

The launch event featured a lineup of some of AS Monaco’s most iconic former players: Ludovic Giuly, Marco Simone, Alfred Vitalis, Claude Puel, and Andrea Raggi, each there to share stories, sign copies, and reminisce about their time both on the professional pitch and with the Barbagiuans.

41st Trophée Grimaldi: Argynne III takes YCM to top of podium

41st Trophée Grimaldi
@Andrea Lelli/YCM

With winds nudging 30 knots, autumnal conditions were the order of the first day of the 41st Trophée Grimaldi which did not dampen the enthusiasm of the 50 contesting boats that managed to complete two of the event’s races, those between Sanremo and Ventimiglia.

The result was two very exciting races, the first departing Sanremo to Ventimiglia, with Yacht Club de Monaco members topping the table. Argynne III took the lead in the Classic and IRC categories finishing the race in 2 hours 10 minutes 21 seconds. Hard on her stern, Andrea Statari’s Gorilla Gang XL, entered in the IRC and ORC categories, finished 3rd for this race with Loïc Pompée on Le Joy also competing. His crew of young sailors from YCM’s Sports Section supervised by Thierry Leret benefited enormously from a weekend of racing against the best during these coastal races.
