The 23rd Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) took place from March 27 to 29, 2025, at Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum, drawing over 18,000 medical professionals, experts, and industry leaders from around the world. This year’s event shattered previous attendance records, reinforcing Monaco AMWC’s status as the premier global conference in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine.
The expansion of the Grimaldi Forum played a role in accommodating this record-breaking crowd. The addition of new conference halls allowed for a broader and more diverse range of topics, attracting an even wider audience.
Innovative Shifts in Aesthetic Medicine
One of the most significant trends at AMWC 2025 was the shift from traditional hyaluronic acid fillers to biostimulators. Conventional fillers primarily add volume, biostimulators work by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production, resulting in improved skin texture and longer-lasting results.
Among the leading innovations in this category, Galderma’s Sculptra stood out with its PLLA-SCA™ formulation, which enhances the skin’s underlying structure and provides results that last up to two years.
Advancements in Non-Invasive Technologies
AMWC 2025 also highlighted significant advancements in non-invasive skin rejuvenation technologies, particularly in ultrasound and radiofrequency treatments. These energy-based devices are becoming more precise and effective, offering noticeable skin tightening and rejuvenation over time.
Expert-led sessions such as “Microfocused Ultrasound Redefined” and “Treatment of Festoons with Biostimulation and Energy-Based Devices” provided insights into the latest breakthroughs in this field, demonstrating how these technologies are evolving to deliver more consistent and long-lasting results.
