In line with the actions undertaken and support provided for many years, AS Monaco highlights the commitment of the Monaco Scientific Center and the Flavien Foundation in the fight against pediatric cancer, on the occasion of the match against Olympique Lyonnais (Saturday 5th February at 9pm) and World Cancer Day (4th February).
An auction of jerseys worn by Monegasque players during the game will be organized in order to financially support the projects of the two organizations.
While the Principality of Monaco hosted the Biennial Cancer Conference at the Grimaldi Forum from 26 to 29 January, AS Monaco will be taking up the torch on the occasion of the reception of Olympique Lyonnais (Saturday 5th February at 9pm). The club will be supporting the Monaco Scientific Center (MSC) and the Flavien Foundation, supported for a long time by AS Monaco, two entities recognised by the local community for their commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer and which are themselves partners in the Biennials of Cancer Research.
On this occasion, the club will invite and spotlight the MSC researchers and the President of the Flavien Foundation – to whom the Vice-President and CEO Oleg Petrov will symbolically offer a jersey before the match as a symbol of AS Monaco’s support for these two organizations.
At the same time, two children supported by the Flavien Foundation will take part in a “My Wish” experience during which they will experience the game from the backstage. Their families, as well as other members of the Flavien Foundation, will be invited to attend the game.
Finally, a selection of jerseys worn during the match by Wissam Ben Yedder’s teammates will be auctioned on the MatchWornShirt platform from the day after the match, Sunday 6th February, until Saturday 12th February (3pm). AS Monaco will then donate 50% of the proceeds to the MSC and 50% to the Flavien Foundation in order to contribute financially to the projects developed by the two organizations.
The following weekend, for the game against FC Lorient (Sunday 13th February at 3pm), two days before World Child Cancer Day (15th February), the club will invite families and volunteers from local associations working with children with cancer.
