AS Monaco presents its new home kit for the 2022-2023 season

More than a dozen global & European launches at Top Marques in June
Top Marques will open next month with more supercars and hypercars than ever on display including 18 new models that have never been presented in Monaco before.
The 17th edition of the supercar show, which will take place under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco from 9 to 12 June 2022, will host more than 110 cars, 15 motorbikes, 3 aerial vehicles and a collection of superboats and water toys on the Esplanade of the Grimaldi Forum. There will also be a number of handpicked watch and jewellery brands on display – and for sale.
Hundreds of Winning Children at the Princess Charlene Foundation’s Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament
On Saturday, May 7th at Stade Louis-II, the 10th edition of the Sainte Dévote Rugby Tournament was held. It is organized by the Monegasque Rugby Federation in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.
In the presence of T.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Jacques and H.S.H. Princess Gabriella, this international Under 12s (U-12) rugby 7s tournament welcomed 16 teams from 14 countries: Andorra, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Spain, France, Georgia, Mauritius, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Monaco, Switzerland.
Dog Lovers’ Paradise, Monaco International Dog Show Attracts Royal Admirers
Prince Albert showed his fondness for dogs this Sunday, May 8th at the Monaco International Dog Show. The Show was held at the Fontvieille marquee and accompanying Prince Albert was Princess Caroline of Hanover. Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy is President of the Canine Society of Monaco which organizes this annual competition. Melanie is the daughter of Prince Albert and Princess Caroline’s first cousin, Baroness Elizabeth-Ann de Massy, who was President herself until her death in 2020.
This 2022 edition was happily unencumbered by Covid restrictions and was buzzing. It brought together over 1,100 dogs of more than 180 different breeds. Over 20 countries all came to Monaco to show of their canine friends.
AS Monaco make it eight in Lille!
After a game largely controlled by the Rouge et Blanc, Philippe Clement and his men won their eighth straight match in a row at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (1-2), and temporarily climbed into second place.
They did it! Already winners of their last seven Ligue 1 matches, the AS Monaco players extended their incredible run on Friday at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, beating LOSC, 1-2. In order to seal the team’s eighth victory in a row in the top flight, the best current run in the European Big 5 leagues, Philippe Clement decided to start the same eleven that had beaten Rennes and won the Derby, with one exception, as Guillermo Maripán played alongside Benoît Badiashile in central defence.
Charles Leclerc Retains his Lead in Formula 1 with a Second Place Finish to Verstappen in Miami
With the US market ever more clued into Formula One, the inaugural Miami Grand Prix this weekend brought the names of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen front and centre to the excited US fans. Monaco, its Monegasque ace and Ferrari are now more than ever brand names in the United States. It all started in Qualifying which Leclerc led to ensure an all-Ferrari front row, a one two with Sainz. They were ahead of Verstappen who made a costly last-lap error dropping him from winning pole to third.
Academy Award winner to be awarded the Honorary Palme d’or at the 75th Festival de Cannes
Following Jodie Foster in 2021, Academy Award Winning Actor Forest Whitaker will be the honorary guest at the opening ceremony of the 75th Festival de Cannes, to be broadcasted live by France Télévisions and Brut. After Jeanne Moreau, Bernardo Bertolucci, Manoel de Oliveira, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Agnès Varda, or Alain Delon, he will be the new recipient of the honorary Palme d’or, which pays tribute to a sparkling artistic journey, a rare personality as well as a discreet but strong humanitarian commitment to key topical issues.
On this occasion, For the Sake of Peace, directed by Christophe Castagne & Thomas Sametin and produced by Forest Whitaker, will be screened in Special Screening Wednesday, May 18.
