A presentation on the MonacoTech project was made by Fabrice Marquet, its Director, on the occasion of the Diplomatic Conference, at which the Ambassadors of Monaco abroad gathered for two days.
In partnership with Monaco Telecom, and in connection with “Station F” by Xavier Niel in Paris, MonacoTech is the Incubator/Accelerator for the Monegasque State’s start-ups. The aims of this structure are multiple: to support innovative business creation projects in Monaco, to create successful companies, to diversify activities by positioning itself as a credible, influential centre for innovation and to encourage indirect economic spin-offs. In the long term, it will be necessary to ensure that new companies are sustainable and integrate them into the local economic fabric.
Local and international projects in all technology-related fields (such as Fintech, Healthtech, smart city, connected devices, etc.,), originating from natural or legal persons, will be studied by a jury of professionals.
Premises offering 800m ² of open space, able to accommodate up to 15 start-ups, i.e. with up to approximately fifty seats, with a semi-public area and co-working area, will be made available for an average price of 100 to 300 euros per registered office, depending on the package. Start-ups will benefit from advice, follow-up, help and support and financing in the initial stages, while they are being set up.
A call for applications was launched last week and it is planned to open the site in the autumn of 2017.
