Last week, in Beijing, the prestigious “China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards” gala was held and prizes were awarded to participants.
This award is a real recognition for the promotional work carried out by DTC representatives in Southeast Asia.
Since 2011, the China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards have been awarded to the best tourism players in MICE (an acronym for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions. The four sectors of business tourism are: meetings, reward trips, conventions and exhibitions).
On the occasion of “China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards”, the gala’s organizers awarded the Direction du Tourisme et des Congrès (‘Tourism and Convention Management’) or DTC team the “Emerging MICE Destination of the Year” award, which was accepted by Alain Hong, Director of the DTC Representative Office in China.
Under the leadership of Benoît Badufle, the team, made up of Alain Hong for China and Zhi Heng Yew for Southeast Asia, has done remarkable work in the business tourism sector in Asia.
It should be noted that the eleven DTC representative offices abroad have, among their priority missions, the task of promoting business tourism. This segment appears to be one of the pillars of the development for Monegasque tourism, but also a key factor in balancing tourism according to the seasons.
